This image was taken as my DJI Phantom 4 was hovering over an area in the El Paso Mountains. The trail shown in the photo seems to disappear into the hills at the upper right. In truth, the trail runs through an area that is known as Iron Canyon.
Iron Canyon was once home to outlaws and bandits, who hid in its various gullies and nooks.

Another unique perspective, brought to us via drone.
Veteran’s of the Mormon Battalion camped here in 1851. They were on their way to the Mormon settlement in San Bernardino.

I was poking around one of the off-road trails in Southern California’s Cajon Pass, when I spied this interesting rock in the distance. Rather than hike the 500 or so feet between the rock and I, I had my drone do the legwork for me in order to capture this image.

This was my first visit to the area in approximately two years. In a sense, this was like returning home for me, as I’d been exploring the area since 1999.
