This was taken during one of my trips to the El Paso Mountains, which are in California’s Mojave Desert. This view is looking south, from the El Paso Mountains, toward the Rand Mountains in the distance.
Both mountain ranges are rich in mining history; mining ruins dot the landscapes in both ranges.
This is a portion of the old toll road that was built during the mid 1800’s.

The soot that is baked on to this rocky spire leads to a spectacular view of the Mojave Desert!
This footage was filmed in the Alvord Mountains. The Alvord Mountains are located in southern California’s Mojave Desert, not too far from the city of Barstow.

San Bernardino Mountains.
The rock formation shown in this video is known as “Hannah Rocks.” I came upon this formation during on one of the four-wheel drive trails in the San Bernardino Mountains.
