Many people pay little attention to the rugged country nearby, as they whiz along on Rte. 15.
This was taken during one of my trips to the El Paso Mountains, which are in California’s Mojave Desert. This view is looking south, from the El Paso Mountains, toward the Rand Mountains in the distance.
Both mountain ranges are rich in mining history; mining ruins dot the landscapes in both ranges.
