This image was taken as my DJI Phantom 4 was hovering over an area in the El Paso Mountains. The trail shown in the photo seems to disappear into the hills at the upper right. In truth, the trail runs through an area that is known as Iron Canyon.
Iron Canyon was once home to outlaws and bandits, who hid in its various gullies and nooks.
This was taken after one of the rainy winters in Southern California. My DJI Phantom 4 was hovering, with the camera pointed straight down.
Location: Cajon Pass, near Cleghorn Rd.

This is a place that is called “The Narrows.” It is located in California’s Mojave Desert.
The trail was a little too rough for me to continue driving along in my Jeep, so I used my DJI Phantom 4 scout ahead for me.
This is Benson Camp, which is an abandoned mining camp in the El Paso Mountains. Mojave Desert. DJI Phantom 4 image.
This is the remnants of an old airstrip, in the El Paso Mountain Range. The El Paso’s are located in the Mojave Desert.
Local legend had it that famous test-pilot Chuck Yeager used to land here, when he was stationed at Edwards AFB, in order to go hunting.
Today, the old strip is the domain of off-roaders.
I filmed this on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, with my DJI Phantom 4.
