Droning over “Mars…”

DCIM100MEDIADJI_0002.JPG

Is this evidence of an ancient civilization on Mars?  Hardly; this is an off-road trail in the Calico Mountains, that I photographed with my DJI Phantom 4. November, 2017.

Some areas of the desert do remind me of the Martian landscape, though.

Craggy Robber’s Roost…

One of the advantages in using a drone for photography, is that it enables one to really explore the little nooks and crannies of large rock formations, vicariously.

This image was taken at “Robber’s Roost”, which is in California’s Mojave Desert.  Robber’s Roost is thought to have been the hide-out of outlaw Tiburcio Vasquez and his men, while they were making plans to rob a nearby stage-coach station.

Treasure In My Own Back Yard: The Cajon Pass…

Sometimes, I just like to explore the areas near my home.  I live near the Cajon Pass, and this image was taken in February, 2017 (with my DJI Phantom 4), on one of those occasions.
