Craggy Robber’s Roost…

One of the advantages in using a drone for photography, is that it enables one to really explore the little nooks and crannies of large rock formations, vicariously.

This image was taken at “Robber’s Roost”, which is in California’s Mojave Desert.  Robber’s Roost is thought to have been the hide-out of outlaw Tiburcio Vasquez and his men, while they were making plans to rob a nearby stage-coach station.

Of all the photos that I’ve taken with my DJI Phantom 4 (https://www.dji.com/phantom-4), this is one of my favorites.  I shot this in October, 2016 at an area in the Mojave Desert that is known as Robber’s Roost.  According to legend, infamous bandit Tiburcio and his gang camped here, while “casing” the nearby Freeman stage coach stop.
